Modano Supports the City House Blue Moon Gala

Mike Modano is a longtime supporter of a special nonprofit organization in Collin County called City House, which focuses on helping at-risk local kids due to abuse, neglect or homelessness.

moModano was touched by what he saw during a tour of City House’s emergency shelter a few years ago and has been involved ever since.

“Children’s charities have always had a soft spot in my heart,” Modano said. “I learned about City House a few years ago and admired the work that they do to protect local kids who need help. Even in an affluent area like Collin County, youth homelessness and neglect exists. Many of the youth they serve are young adults at 18 years old and need to learn how to stand on their own two feet. City House does just that.”

City House is holding their Blue Moon Gala on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Embassy Suites in Frisco. Modano is serving as the honorary chair of the event’s auction, and would like to ask for your help.

“I’d encourage people to come enjoy a great night at the Blue Moon Gala,” he said. “It’s a great date-night. The Gala will transport you back to the 1950s, an age where music and formal social dances were in full swing. And if you can’t come, buy a $20 raffle ticket donation online. The donation goes a long way and you may walk away with the prize of driving a Lexus for one year.”
